Overview

We are pleased to announce the release of the Sector Investment Coordinator (SIC) Request for Proposals (RFP) as part of our Catalyst Program. This initiative seeks qualified organizations to serve as Sector Investment Coordinators who will play a crucial role in advancing sector-based strategies that drive economic growth and workforce development in our community.

The LA County Collaborative is seeking to obtain the services of up to five (5) consultants, known as Sector Investment Coordinators (SICs), to support the Los Angeles Jobs First Collaborative in the execution of the Catalyst grant awarded to the region. The Collaborative seeks to engage SICs, with the description of services listed in the Scope of Work (SoW), to advise it on how to fund $9 million in pre-development activities (included in SoW). Experience in Los Angeles County, and especially with LA County’s historically disinvested communities, is preferred.

The selected Sector Investment Coordinators will be responsible for coordinating investments in key sectors, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and ensuring that resources are effectively deployed to achieve impactful outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for organizations with expertise in sector-based initiatives, economic development, and workforce training to contribute to the region’s long-term prosperity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sector-specific investment strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations.
- Ensure alignment of investments with regional economic priorities.
- Monitor and report on the progress of sector-based initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria: Eligible applicants include individuals, nonprofits, and private firms. Applicants must demonstrate a strong track record in sector coordination, investment strategies, and stakeholder engagement. Detailed eligibility requirements are outlined in the RFP document.

Contract Term: The contract term for contracts awarded through this RFP will be from the contract start date TBD, no later than November 22, 2024. The estimated period of performance for this contract is twenty-two months. All expenses must be included in the budget approved by CCF.
